Boyd gets feature role vs. old team

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Running back Rakeem Boyd likely will get his first start today for the University of Arkansas.

The way Boyd feels, it couldn't come at a better time considering the Razorbacks are playing Texas A&M.

"There's a lot on the line," Boyd said. "I'm just ready to get out there. I've been waiting on this one for a long time."

Boyd began his college career at Texas A&M in 2016 and redshirted as a true freshman, but he became academically ineligible and transferred to Independence (Kan.) Community College.

Getting back to an SEC school, Boyd said, provided extra motivation because he wanted to play the Aggies.
