FAYETTEVILLE -- The record 40-game onslaught of college football's bowl season begins Saturday, highlighted by Arkansas State's New Orleans Bowl meeting with Louisiana Tech.
Eighty teams will participate over a span of 15 days, capped by four games Jan. 2, including Arkansas vs. Kansas State in the Liberty Bowl at 2:20 p.m. After that, the winners of two New Year's Eve games in the Orange Bowl (Clemson vs. Oklahoma) and the Cotton Bowl (Alabama vs. Michigan State) will play for the second College Football Playoff championship Jan. 11 in Glendale, Ariz.
