FAYETTEVILLE — In his decades of experience coaching offenses, Bobby Petrino cannot recall an offseason with more roster turnover.
Entering his second year as the Arkansas football team’s offensive coordinator, Petrino and the staff assembled a new-look offense to compensate for NFL Draft and transfer departures. In spring practices, Petrino has been in teaching mode.
To his aid has been one of the few, yet most important, returners: Taylen Green.
The dual-threat starting quarterback earned the respect of teammates last year after he transferred in from Boise State. Now that he has a year of SEC football and the Petrino playbook under his belt, Green can be another coach on the field.
