FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas shortstop Jax Biggers suffered a fractured left index finger during the first inning of the Razorbacks' game against Texas A&M on Friday.

A team spokesman said Biggers can play "as pain allows." Sophomore Jack Kenley replaced Biggers in the field and made two great defensive plays during the eighth inning.

Biggers suffered the injury while trying to lay down a bunt during the Razorbacks' four-run first inning. He fouled off a ball that appeared to hit him and

winced in pain as blood dripped from his hand. He was taken to a hospital for an X-ray, which confirmed the fracture.
