FAYETTEVILLE — On short rest, No. 17 Arkansas gymnastics achieved its highest score of the early season Monday in its home opener at Bud Walton Arena. The Razorbacks won the Arkansas Tri-Meet with a score of 197, besting No. 16 Denver (196.325) and Texas Woman’s University (192.325).
It was the Razorbacks’ second meet in four days, and coach Jordyn Wieber said Arkansas (2-4) had one practice between Friday’s meet at Auburn and Monday’s tri-meet.
“We talked to them after Friday's meet, where the scoring felt pretty tight and we were really getting deductions on a lot of things,” Wieber said.
