MEMPHIS -- Liberty Bowl executive director Steve Ehrhart announced Wednesday that the game between Arkansas and Kansas State on Saturday is a sellout with more than 61,000 tickets sold.
Ehrhart said it marked the Liberty Bowl's first sellout in six years, since Arkansas and East Carolina drew 62,742 for the 2010 game, won 20-17 in overtime by the Razorbacks.
"In this day and age of bowl games, there aren't many that are sold out," Ehrhart said.
Capacity at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium has dropped to less than 62,000 since then because of a reconfiguration.
Ehrhart said stadium parking would fill up prior to the 2:20 p.
