Fayetteville, Ark. – Austin Allen’s debut as Arkansas’ starting quarterback may not have been what he envisioned, but it was his ability to fight through adversity that led to the Razorbacks’ narrow 21-20 win over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
Despite the Razorbacks’ win, Allen threw two interceptions and was sacked four times, while also repeatedly taking hits after a pass.
“Austin Allen’s numbers were fairly good except for obviously the two turnovers,” Bielema said. “Very first turnover, I think (he was) just trying to force something in on third down, make something happen, but the second one had a route breakdown with one of our more experienced receivers and caused that situation to come about.
