FAYETTEVILLE - Arkansas lost its season-finale to South Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Bud Walton Arena.
That isn’t the story. It wasn’t even the problem.
The Razorbacks were favored against South Carolina, a team with an NCAA Tournament berth on near lock. Arkansas had won its four previous games, the longest streak of the season and Las Vegas rewarded them for it. But by most accounts, by most questioned, South Carolina was the superior team.
The issue was how the Gamecocks strolled into the Basketball Palace of Middle America and pancaked its owners, 76-61.
