FAYETTEVILLE — The No. 2 Arkansas women’s golf team shot the best final round by 16 strokes to surge past No. 15 Vanderbilt and No. 19 Ole Miss and claim their fourth consecutive championship on Tuesday at the Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, P.R.
Razorback sophomore Maria Jose Marin claimed medalist honors with a 9-under par, two strokes ahead of LSU’s Rocio Tejedo, in the 54-hole event at the par-72, 6,305-yard tract at Grand Reserve Golf Club.
Arkansas freshman Clarisa Temelo had the day’s low round with a 66 that featured seven birdies to finish third at 6 under.
