Two forwards on the Arkansas women’s basketball team, Vera Ojenuwa and Cristina Sánchez Cerqueira, have entered their names into the NCAA transfer portal.
Their entries, which were confirmed by a team spokesperson, are the first departures from Arkansas since the portal opened Tuesday.
Ojenuwa started all 32 games for Arkansas last season and averaged 6.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 22.3 minutes played. She recorded four double-doubles, including a 20-point, 10-rebound performance in a 76-60 win over Arkansas State on Nov. 24.
Foul trouble was an issue for Ojenuwa, whose 103 fouls led the team and were 51 more than the next closest player.
