The Arkansas women’s basketball team led by 14 points early in the third quarter Saturday against Bowling Green, but Bowling Green erased the deficit and won 79-78 at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Razorbacks lost their second game at the Daytona Beach Classic in as many days and fourth in their past five outings. They lost 70-56 to Oklahoma State on Friday.
Arkansas (4-5) led 48-34 after Izzy Higginbottom made a layup while being fouled and tacked on the free throw with 8:59 to play in the third quarter.
Bowling Green (4-4) went on a 27-13 run from there, tying it at 61-61 with 9:11 in the fourth when Lauren Gerken made her only three-pointer during a 1-of-5 effort from range.
