The Razorbacks will be greeted by a familiar face in Game 1 of the Arkansas vs Ole Miss series.
It won’t be an easy introduction to SEC play for Arkansas’ much-improved offense, as it will be tasked with facing the Rebels’ ace, left-hander Hunter Elliott, at 2 p.m. CT Friday on SEC Network-Plus. (Inclement weather pushed first pitch up 4.5 hours earlier than originally scheduled.)
Fans should remember that name, even if the memory is understandably faded. That’s because Elliott started against the Razorbacks twice during his stellar freshman campaign way back in 2022.
Dylan DeLucia was Ole Miss’ ace three years ago and he certainly gave Arkansas fits, especially in the College World Series semifinals, but Elliott is also a bogeyman of sorts to the Razorbacks.
