FAYETTEVILLE — After a confidence-building start to the season for the Arkansas softball team, both the temperature and level of competition will rise this weekend.
The 10th-ranked Razorbacks (10-0) are off to the best start in program history but will have their unblemished record put to the test at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, Calif. They will escape snowy Northwest Arkansas for Southern California, where temperatures are expected to be in the 80s for much of the weekend.
Arkansas will open its stay in the Golden State with a doubleheader Thursday against Rutgers and Cal State Fullerton, beginning at 11:30 a.
