FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas senior first baseman Bri Ellis and junior utility player Kailey Wyckoff were two of 53 players named to USA Softball’s preseason watch list for national player of the year.

The Razorbacks’ two selections were tied for ninth-most among all programs, and fifth-most in the SEC. Florida (5 players), Oklahoma (5), Texas (3) and Texas A&M (3) led the SEC in watch list honorees.

Ellis transferred to Arkansas as a junior after two seasons at Auburn. She earned NFCA All-America second-team honors and was an All-SEC first-team selection in her first season as a Razorback.
