FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas softball first baseman Bri Ellis and third baseman Ella McDowell racked up SEC and national awards Tuesday following a series victory at Florida last weekend and a win Monday at North Florida.
Both players were among five “Stars of the Week” by Softball America, Ellis was named SEC player of the week and McDowell won SEC freshman of the week and D1Softball national freshman of the week honors.
Both players are from the Greater Houston area and played for the Impact Gold Jackson organization.
