FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas pitcher signee Wade Beasley will forego his college eligibility and sign with the Milwaukee Brewers, his agent confirmed to WholeHogSports in a text message Monday.
Beasley, from Horatio, is in Phoenix at Brewers' spring training facility. He is expected to sign Tuesday, said Craig Rose, who is representing him.
Beasley (6-3, 210 pounds) committed to Arkansas in August 2016 and signed with the Razorbacks last November. His fastball is clocked at 93-94 mph and Baseball America rated him the fourth-best draft prospect out of the Arkansas high school ranks this year.
