Arkansas lawmakers will consider college stadiums and arenas as an exemption to a new state law regarding areas in which concealed handguns are allowed.
On Wednesday, Gov. Asa Hutchinson signed a measure into law that allows people to carry guns in designated areas after completing eight hours of active shooter training. Additionally, the senate reportedly was considering adding an exemption for colleges, government buildings, some bars and the state Capitol on Thursday.
As the law stands, guns would be allowed into Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium while umbrellas are still banned.
