Arkansas rises to No. 9 in ESPN/USA Softball poll ahead of series at No. 2 Texas A&M

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas rose a spot to No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Softball poll released Tuesday.

The Razorbacks (34-9, 10-8 SEC) won a pair of 5-inning run rule games in a doubleheader against Colorado State last Friday. The teams were scheduled to play Game 3 last Saturday, but it was canceled due to forecasted rain.

There are 12 SEC teams in this week's poll, including top-ranked Tennessee, which vaulted into the No. 1 spot for the first time this season after sweeping Auburn. The only series loss the Lady Volunteers have suffered was March 22-24 at home against the Razorbacks.
