FAYETTEVILLE — A 10-run fourth inning erased a big early deficit and led the fourth-ranked Arkansas baseball team to an 11-10 victory over Charlotte on Friday in the series opener at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The Razorbacks (8-1) trailed 9-1 before the rally that included 16 batters, 8 hits, 3 walks and 2 hit batsmen. Three pitchers combined to throw 61 pitches in the inning for the 49ers (4-4).
The 8-run deficit was Arkansas’ largest to overcome since March 1, 2017, when the Razorbacks came back from a 9-run deficit to win 13-10 at Louisiana Tech. Arkansas trailed that game 10-1 in the fourth inning.
