FAYETTEVILLE – Alex Collins ran for five touchdowns against UT-Martin in Arkansas’ 63-28 win at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium on Halloween.
The five scores were one short of the Arkansas record of six, set by Madre Hill in 1995 against South Carolina. Collins’ scores came from two, six, five, three and 63 yards. The final touchdown allowed Arkansas to remove its starters for the fourth quarter.
Collins also had 173 yards rushing, a season-high. It was the sixth time Collins had reached the 100-yard mark or greater in the team’s eight games. Collins now has 960 rushing yards this season and 12 touchdowns.
