FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas men's basketball team remained unranked for the third consecutive week in the Associated Press Top 25, and was second among teams receiving votes behind Mississippi State.
Arkansas defeated now-No. 24 Michigan 89-87 at Madison Square Garden in New York on Tuesday and defeated Central Arkansas 82-57 in North Little Rock on Saturday. The Razorbacks will host North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
Tennessee remained No. 1 for the second consecutive week, earning 50 of the 62 first-place votes. No. 2 Auburn had the other 12.
Eight SEC teams are ranked, the most of any conference — Tennessee, Auburn, Kentucky (4), Alabama (6), Florida (7), Texas A&M (12), Oklahoma (14) and Ole Miss (17).
