Arkansas kicker Lane Saling will not play for the Razorbacks this season, according to WholeHogSports.com.
Saling, a fourth-year walk-on junior, is no longer listed on the team’s roster. A school spokesman told WholeHogSports.com Sunday that Saling was pursuing other opportunities.
Last season, Saling served as Arkansas’ kickoff specialist, kicking 70 of the Razorbacks’ 77 kickoffs. Of those taken kickoffs, 11 were touchbacks.
In 2014, Saling converted his first and only career extra point. He redshirted as a freshman in 2013.
Sophomore kicker Cole Hedlund, who handled place-kicking duties last season, and senior Adam McFain, the team’s primary place-kicker and kickoff specialist in 2014, return this fall.
