FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas gymnastics team has posted two scores below 196 through five meets this season.
The Razorbacks (3-5, 1-2 SEC) scored 195.875 in a fourth-place finish at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad to open the season Jan. 11 and had 195.975 last week at No. 1 Oklahoma.
Last season, Arkansas never scored below 196. Its last 195 was at Kentucky on Feb. 17, 2023.
But the two low scores this year don’t necessarily mean the Razorbacks have taken a big step back from the previous season. They’re part of a larger trend in college gymnastics that has led some prominent voices in the sport to speak out.
