FAYETTEVILLE — Kiki Smith entered the Bud Walton Arena interview room with a wide grin.
She had just left the floor, in just her second Division I game, with one of her top performances.
Smith, who was originally committed to Evansville in high school before deciding to go to Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College, was nearly perfect on the offensive end. During Friday’s 84-65 win over East Texas A&M — known as Texas A&M-Commerce until Thursday — Smith finished with a game-high 22 points and was perfect from the field until the 6:29 mark of the fourth quarter.
