FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas officially announced the hiring of Nick Perry as the Razorbacks’ secondary coach Thursday.
Perry, 33, will replace Deron Wilson, who resigned Jan. 3. Reports have linked Wilson to the defensive coordinator position at Georgia State.
The 2-year contract for Perry is worth $325,000 per year through Feb. 28, 2027. It includes a no-compete clause that would prohibit Perry from accepting a job with another SEC team unless that job is as a head coach or play-calling defensive coordinator.
The Prattville, Ala., native played safety at Alabama from 2010-14. He returned to the Crimson Tide from 2017-20 as a graduate assistant and defensive analyst.
