FAYETTEVILLE — Devin Bale, a redshirt junior punter for the Arkansas football team, was announced as an addition to the Ray Guy Award watch list Friday.
Augusta (Ga.) Sports Council, the trophy’s creating organization, announced Bale’s addition to its 79-man list following his nomination from the Arkansas athletics communications staff.
The Ray Guy Award is presented annually to the best punter in college football.
Bale has averaged 45.2 net yards on 18 punt attempts, which ranks fourth nationally. According to data from Pro Football Focus, Bale’s average hangtime of 4.34 seconds ranks sixth among punters who have at least 5 attempts.
