Arkansas football notebook: Offensive line switch will continue

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said upon further review, the offensive staff will probably stick with redshirt sophomore E’Marion Harris at right tackle and redshirt junior Keyshawn Blackstock at left guard after switching the two prior to Saturday’s 34-10 loss to No. 8 LSU.

Pittman said on Saturday he thought the 6-5, 319-pound Blackstock would be better at dealing with bull rushes from 330-pound defensive tackles and the 6-7, 300-pound Harris might be more agile to control the speed of edge rushers.

“That’s why we did it, just for the girth of [Harris]…he’s tall, so trying to block a 330-pound defensive tackle, where we felt like Blackstock could do that,” Pittman said last Saturday.
