FAYETTEVILLE — Andrew Armstrong joined the 1,000-yard single-season receiving club for Arkansas.
Armstrong, a sixth-year player who transferred to Arkansas last season from Texas A&M-Commerce, had 8 receptions for 81 yards in the Razorbacks’ 35-14 victory on Saturday over Louisiana Tech.
Armstrong’s stats gave him 69 catches for 1,012 yards in 10 games this season. He missed the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff as he continued to recover from a hamstring injury sustained in preseason camp.
Armstrong is one of five Razorbacks who had 1,000 yards receiving in a season along with Cobi Hamilton (1,335 in 2012), Jarius Wright (1,117 in 2011), Treylon Burks (1,104 in 2021) and Anthony Lucas (1,004 in 1998).
