FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football coach Sam Pittman was asked about his job security Saturday following the Razorbacks' 35-14 bowl-clinching victory over Louisiana Tech.

The fifth-year coach said he has not been worried about his job security over the course of the season. Arkansas improved to 6-5 with Saturday's win to bring Pittman's career record to 29-30 and reach bowl eligibility for the fourth time in his five seasons.

The belief within the program in recent weeks has been that Pittman's job would be safe if the Razorbacks made a bowl game.

Pittman said speculation about his future has hurt Arkansas in recruiting.
