MEMPHIS — Arkansas freshman running back Braylen Russell is back with the team and is expected to play during Friday’s game against Texas Tech at the Liberty Bowl.
After entering and withdrawing from the portal twice this month, Russell returned to practice Sunday. He reportedly visited Ole Miss last week.
“He’s going to play. He’s here,” Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said Monday shortly after arriving at the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis. “That’s been back and forth, but we’re glad to have him.
"He’s been to over half of [the practices], so he’s ready to go.
