Oklahoma State knocked Arkansas’ men’s tennis team out the NCAA Tournament on Sunday when the host Cowboys beat the Razorbacks 4-0 in a second-round match at the Stillwater Regional.
The No. 16 Cowboys (20-7) advanced to the 16-team NCAA Championships in Tulsa.
The No. 19 Razorbacks (20-9) played in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006. They beat Wichita State 4-2 Saturday in a first-round match.
Oklahoma State clinched the match with Tristan Meraut’s 6-1, 6-4 victory over Giammarco Micolani at No. 4 singles.
“Congratulations to Oklahoma State, they were better than us today and that was the biggest factor in the match,” Arkansas Coach Andy Jackson said.
