Arkansas defensive back Kevin Richardson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn pectoral muscle, Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema announced Monday.
Richardson, a redshirt junior and starting nickel back, suffered the injury during the second half of Arkansas’ 21-20 win over Louisiana Tech last Saturday.
Bielema said he will undergo surgery Monday.
Last season, Richardson saw action in all 13 games and started the last five.
Arkansas’ top two cornerbacks are senior Jared Collins and junior Henre’ Toliver.
Arkansas wide receiver Jared Cornelius and tight end Austin Cantrell will both be available in the Razorbacks road game at TCU this Saturday after picking up injuries in the season opener.
