FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas had little trouble against a Division II opponent to open the Razorbacks exhibition season at Bud Walton Arena on Thursday night.
Arkansas beat visiting Southwestern Oklahoma State, 103-58, in the team’s first on-court action against an opponent other than themselves. The team will play Delta State on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the second, and final, preseason game before opening the counting schedule with Southern on November 13.
Arkansas shot 55 percent from the field and scored 53 points while nearly doubling-up the Bulldogs by the break. Guards Anthlon Bell, Jimmy Whitt and Dusty Hannahs were each in double figures by halftime.
