The Arkansas basketball team stepped up in competition level Saturday and was decked by the nation’s top-ranked team.
Tennessee was dominant during its 76-52 victory over the 23rd-ranked Razorbacks at Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn.
It was the Volunteers' third consecutive blowout victory in a series they have owned of late. Tennessee has won 8 of 10 over Arkansas since 2018, including 92-63 last year in Fayetteville and 75-57 in Knoxville in 2023.
The Razorbacks, in their first year under Hall of Fame coach John Calipari, expected a better showing this time around. Instead, Arkansas got an early wake-up call about how difficult the SEC has become this season, trailing by as many as 27 points.
