Arkansas basketball hosts LSU with NCAA Tournament bubble in the background

FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas men’s basketball team, despite losing 6 of its first 7 SEC games, placed itself back in NCAA Tournament conversations after defeating Kentucky 89-79 in coach John Calipari’s return to Rupp Arena on Feb. 1.

The Razorbacks further put themselves in the conversation with their win 78-70 at Texas on Feb. 5 and did little harm with their 85-81 loss to Alabama last Saturday.

Entering Wednesday's 8 p.m. home game against LSU, Arkansas (14-9, 3-7 SEC) finds itself firmly on the NCAA Tournament bubble. ESPN bracket analyst Joe Lunardi had the Razorbacks as the first team out last Friday and CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm had them as one of the last four teams to make the tournament field.
