DALLAS — The Arkansas and Baylor men’s basketball teams each had a 1-1 week to open the season, but both figure to still be in the second Associated Press Top 25 poll released Monday.
The No. 8 Bears’ 101-63 loss at No. 6 Gonzaga last Monday night doesn’t look so bad after they bounced back to defeat the No. 16 Razorbacks 72-67 Saturday night at American Airlines Center.
Arkansas’ national perception shouldn’t be hurt by losing on a neutral court to a Baylor team that was highly motivated to redeem itself after being embarrassed by Gonzaga.
“This is November,” Razorbacks coach John Calipari said.
