NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Ole Miss made certain the next game for the Arkansas basketball team in March will be the waiting game.
Sean Pedulla hit a go-ahead three pointer with 1.7 seconds remaining and the eighth-seeded Rebels defeated the ninth-seeded Razorbacks 83-80 in a second-round thriller at the SEC Tournament on Thursday at Bridgestone Arena.
Arkansas (20-13) overcame a 15-point first half deficit to take a 61-53 lead with 9:07 remaining, but ran out of gas and into foul trouble as its lead slipped away.
Ole Miss (22-10) is scheduled to face No. 3 Auburn, the tournament’s top-seeded team, in the quarterfinals Friday at noon on ESPN.
