FAYETTEVILLE — The fourth-ranked Arkansas baseball team withstood another challenge from Charlotte on Saturday at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The Razorbacks overcame a pair of deficits in the early innings and won 8-5 in front of an announced crowd of 10,938. Arkansas (9-1) won the series and will go for a sweep Sunday at noon.
Brent Iredale hit a go-ahead double and Kuhio Aloy added a 2-run home run in the seventh inning to give the Razorbacks an 8-5 lead in the seventh inning. Wehiwa Aloy led off the seventh with a double and scored to answer the 49ers’ game-tying single by Noah Furcht in the top of the seventh.
