FAYETTEVILLE — The third-ranked Arkansas baseball team came close to making history at the plate and on the mound Wednesday at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The Razorbacks took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and came within a few feet of their highest-scoring inning in program history during a 16-0, 7-inning victory over Oral Roberts.
Arkansas (20-2) has a 4-game win streak entering its SEC home opener against South Carolina on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
A 12-run fourth inning gave the Razorbacks a 15-0 lead after the Golden Eagles (12-8) kept the game competitive early with freshman starter Luke Puffinbarger on the mound.
