FAYETTEVILLE — The fifth-ranked Arkansas baseball team walked off twice Friday in its season-opening doubleheader against Washington State, but the games were quite different.
After the Razorbacks scored twice in the 10th inning to win the first game 3-2, designated hitter Kuhio Aloy hit a 3-run home run in the seventh inning of the second game to initiate a run rule and set a 14-2 final score.
The teams are scheduled to play again Saturday at 1 p.m. and Monday at noon.
Trailing 2-1, Arkansas scored twice in the 10th inning without a base hit to win the season opener.
