FAYETTEVILLE — The baseball series between second-ranked Arkansas and Texas A&M will include a Friday doubleheader.
Rain in the forecast caused the teams to make the move. They are scheduled to open the series Thursday at 7 p.m. at Baum-Walker Stadium, then will play a pair of 9-inning games Friday beginning at 2 p.m.
There will be a 1-hour window between games Friday. Tickets purchased for Saturday's game will be required for admittance into the first game Friday, while tickets purchased for Friday's game will be valid for the finale.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a 90% chance of showers and thunderstorms in Northwest Arkansas beginning Friday night, lasting into Sunday.
