Georgia catcher Henry Hunter had the final and most important 2-out hit of a series finale full of them Sunday.
Hunter’s 390-foot home run to center field in the bottom of the 12th inning gave the sixth-ranked Bulldogs their second consecutive 7-6 victory over top-ranked Arkansas at Foley Field.
Georgia (32-6, 10-5 SEC) handed the Razorbacks (32-5, 12-3) their first series loss. Arkansas won the series opener 13-3 on Friday.
Sunday’s finale did not disappoint between a pair of the nation’s best teams. The Razorbacks and the Bulldogs both extended the game with 2-out hits in the latter innings.
