Arkansas baseball hits bump in the road with consecutive series losses

FAYETTEVILLE — Weeks ago, seasoned Arkansas baseball coach Dave Van Horn said leagues like the SEC and the professional ranks are outlined by the timing of when “you catch people.”

Then the Razorbacks — winners of a school-record 12 straight SEC games at the time — lost back-to-back series.

The first was at Georgia, which was swept the weekend prior at Texas and needed to defend home turf. The second was Friday at home, to once struggling Texas A&M, which has only now begun to validate its No. 1 preseason ranking. The Aggies are on a 9-1 tear, including 7-1 in conference play.
