FAYETTEVILLE — Nine players from the Arkansas baseball fall roster have left the program.
A number of departures were expected after Arkansas had 51 players on its fall roster. Teams can carry 40 active players, plus redshirting players during the regular season.
Arkansas is believed to have 41 available players entering preseason practice next month. Right-handed pitcher Cooper Dossett underwent elbow surgery that will keep him out for the season, Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said in October.
According to a team spokesman, the players no longer with the program are infielder Trenton Rowan; outfielder Kolton Reynolds; right-handed pitchers Diego Ramos, Josh Hyneman, Kel Busby, Eli Crecelius and Jaewoo Cho; and left-handed pitchers Tucker Holland and Jack Smith.
