FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas athletics announced the hire of former Boston Celtics executive Remy Cofield as deputy athletics director and general manager of Razorback athletics Monday.
Cofield's hire had been previously reported by Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. He previously served as the Celtics' director of scouting and spent 11 years in various roles with the organization.
According a press release, Cofield will "oversee the strategic allocation of department and affiliate resources" and "lead player contract lead player contract negotiations and collaborate with head coaches, recruiting coordinators and administrative staff in implementing each program’s strategic vision" in his role at Arkansas.
