FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor will induct its largest class ever in September.
This year's class will include 14 former Arkansas athletes from 10 sports and former men's golf coach Steve Loy.
The class is headlined by former shooting guard Jonathon Modica, a two-time All-SEC player who scored 1,589 points from 2002-06; former baseball pitcher Nick Schmidt, a two-time All-American pitcher and first-round MLB draft pick who had a career 2.83 ERA and 345 strikeouts from 2005-07; and three former All-American football players from the 1980s: kicker Bruce Lahay, who made an NCAA-leading 19 field goals in 1981; defensive lineman Ron Faurot, who had seven sacks in 1983; and punter Greg Horne, who led the NCAA with a 47.
