FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas redshirt freshman Aniya Madkin was named Southeastern Conference co-freshman of the week for the second time Monday.
Madkin is Arkansas’ first repeat freshman of the week since Taylor Head in the split 2020-21 season and the first Razorback to earn the honor in back-to-back weeks since Jasmine Norton in 2009.
Madkin has led the Razorbacks (14-2, 4-0 SEC) in kills in the last six matches, each of which were 10-plus kill performances. In Sunday’s sweep over Alabama, she tallied 15 and hit .308, her second consecutive match with a hitting clip of over .
