Arkansas 4-star signee Briston Guidry has minor knee surgery

Arkansas signee Briston Guidry had knee surgery to repair a meniscus injury, Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema told Whole Hog Sports on Sunday.

Guidry, a four-star defensive tackle recruit, sustained the injury while he was still at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, Louisiana, Bielema said. He had the surgery this past week, after enrolling at the school last Tuesday.

Bielema said the injury was “really nothing major” and that he expects Guidry to be ready in time for the start of fall camp in August.

“Our goal is to have him back by mid-July and he’ll be able to roll back into things before then, but he should be 100 percent,” Bielema said.
