Arizona beat Arkansas in a pitcher's duel Friday at the Frisco College Baseball Classic.
JC Cloney pitched 7 2/3 scoreless innings as the No. 15 Wildcats beat the Razorbacks 3-0. Cloney has pitched 38 consecutive scoreless innings dating to last season.
Cloney, a left-hander, struck out seven batters for Arizona (9-0), last year's national runner-up. He allowed three hits and issued two walks.
Cloney's outing overshadowed a strong start by Arkansas' Blaine Knight, who struck out a career-high 10 in six innings. Knight allowed one earned run on five hits and didn't walk anyone.
The Wildcats broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning on Jared Olivia's RBI double off Knight.
