Arkansas running back Trelon Smith is doing his best to make it awfully difficult for coaches to take him out of the lineup.
An Arizona State transfer who by all accounts was an electric player on the Razorbacks’ scout team in 2019, Smith continues to impress and state his case to be Arkansas’ top tailback. Smith rushed for a career-high 118 yards and a touchdown in the 63-35 loss at Florida on Saturday and surpassed the 400-yard mark on the ground this season.
“Smitty ran so hard,” Arkansas interim head coach Barry Odom said. “Our offensive line, they kept battling in there.
